Thurs, March 23rd 6:30-9pm
Open to the Public.
Beginners to advanced printmakers!
Come hang out and make monotypes with us! Use our Griffin Series IV etching press 66″ x 40” printing bed. We will provide basic etching ink (oil and water based options), soaking tray, brushes, and beveled plexiglass. This is a fun, casual printmaking session and is not a full workshop. If you have never made monotypes, please come right at 6:30pm for instruction. We will be on hand to guide you if you are new to printing. Monotype printing involves painting on a plexiglass plate and printing the plate (a cross between painting and printmaking).
Experienced printers can get right to work and/or stop in anytime (you must pre-pay online). Clean up will begin around 8:30pm. Wine provided if you like!
*You bring your own printmaking paper. Please make sure you bring the proper printmaking paper. It should be 100% cotton. Optional: your favorite brushes and/or inks.
Location: 5900 Hollis St. Suite A, Emeryville, CA 94608

*This class also fulfills the workshop requirement to use our press if you want to become a locker artist. Locker artists get 24 hour access to our facilities for $250/month.
