Ordinary. Extraordinary. promises a captivating exploration of the ordinary through the lens of an extraordinary artistic vision. Guided by memory and impression, Friedman creates works that stand as a visual reminder to appreciate the present, wherever that may be. Born and raised in the East Bay, Friedman graduated from UCLA in fine arts in 1990. After many years working in a home studio, she moved into the Compound Studio in November 2022, and this body of work is the result of the move.
